Guest Files Human Rights Complaint Against Six Flags

The Gazette (Montreal, Que.): Man at La Ronde told to cover up Bob Marley t-shirt or leave

For those wondering, La Ronde is owned and operated by Six Flags. I've personally never liked it, it's in the middle of nowhere and is far too "Amusement Park-y" for my tastes.

My first thoughts: There are many places where one should be allowed to express one's self. However, a privately owned business, even on that is open to the public, is not necessarily one of them. From the article, it looks like the problem wasn't with the shirt showing Bob Marley, but that it was done in a way to play up his use of an illegal substance. I can understand how that could be seen as not being appropriate for an amusement park.

Its funny, because I see far worse at Disney...and nothing is done about it. Seems like management @ La Ronde are being just a tiny bit overzealous.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

I am going to got there and wear my "F@ck Cancer" Shirt.

"A little swordplay, now and then, keeps my mind off sheep!"

"You're messing with my Zen thing, man."

"Dreams are as portals,
flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."
