I don't know one way or the other, but, if you were given a 60 notice on January 6th then 60 days was up around March 6th give or take due to leap year. If that is true I'd say that you were given quite a bit of leeway on the time.

Wasn't he in a shorter-lived series named Fish after Barney Miller ended? Somewhat true except that it was while Barney Miller was still on the air. Abe only stayed on the BM sitcom for 2 or 3 years and he was spun off to the sitcom "Fish". I think it ended before Barney Miller did though.
