Monorail Pilot...
This happened on the same trip to Disneyland when we broke Pirates. We headed to the Monorail and asked to ride up front (is that annoying, or do you guys not care?) The Monorail Pilot gets in and is all business, like the front part of a mullet. Perhaps he wanted to impress us with his 133t Monorai...

Re: Heelies
Birdmom, Exactly. Until the pay is worth a crap, finding someone to put up with that much hell from guests is going to be difficult. Even if you find someone who really cares, my bet is they'll be come jaded after a few years and give up. Especially w/o support from management. Thankfully my company...

Yes, how DARE you 1) not reveal that you speak spanish and 2) yell at some kids before they fall off a wall and split their heads open. The father probably saw little dollar signs climbing/playing on the wall. Some people should not have kids...

Re: Stupid Cast Member trick or just an amusing story...
As a working lead at Pirates, I'll tell you that we still have to balance boats before they are dispatched. I'm assuming since you went at night it was someone new who grouped your boat. My guess was n00b, tired cm or idiot :) Regardless, it makes for great stories at parties when I want everyone t...

If you current CM's could fire guests and have them removed, the park would be nearly empty...not necessarily a bad thing for us non-stupid guests :D:

Hence, the blank stare. We're not talking about someone who needs a wheelchair. They are sure taking the 'prevent' out of loss prevention. :( Wait until some kid knocks down an old lady and she breaks a hip, then instead of suing the kid's parents for being stupid, she'll sue Disney. They'll settle,...

Seems like TYOAMD has the potential to really cause some fights...
If I could put up with low wages and general stupidity, I'd consider a job at one of the parks just to watch it all go down. Instead I will expect nothing less than a full detailed report from a current CM :)

Re: people who get mad at breakdowns
It amazes me that people don't realize that 1) rides need routine maintenance, 2) they occasionally breakdown, and 3) they need to be updated at some point. If Tomorrowland was never updated, they'd have to change the name. Yesteryearland just doesn't work for me.

Stupid Cast Member trick or just an amusing story...
Just to set this up a bit, I'm a big guy, my wife is not petite either. I hate to use the term 'pooh' sized people like some other boards use, so I'll put it like this, I'm fat :) So, we're at Disneyland in late June-July, 2001. We're in line for Pirates, almost no waiting, I believe it was getting ...
