Re: Backyard Coaster
Wow. :D: Bet the neighborhood kids will be knocking on the door. And I also think it would be safe to say that their homeowner's insurance doesn't cover the ride. It would be better if Dad didn't have to be the one to push the car up the hill though. That would get really tiring very quickly.

Re: Stupid Drive By Trick
You have a blue merle! I love merles. I did. He passed away a couple of years ago at the age of 11. Starbuck was a great dog. First dog I ever put an obedience and a rally title on. His registered name was Caibor's Darn You Daggit CD RN CGC HIC TDI TT. Highly intelligent, active and a momma's boy. ...

Re: Stupid Drive By Trick
Back when my father was in a nursing home I used to bring my collie (the one in my avatar) in to visit him. It would take at least 30 minutes to get from the elevator to my father's room since Starbuck and I had to stop and visit with all the residents and staff along the way. Starbuck loved it sinc...

Re: Stupid Drive By Trick
Been down the doctor route and the therapist. Works okay until the insurance runs out. And the $30 co-pay each visit is not a long term solution when money is really tight. Not to mention the price of gas influencing every trip I make. Now if by Doctor you mean the David Tennant version than that ju...

Re: Stupid Drive By Trick
But when is that NOT the case? Oh, right. When they're depressed. Please note, this post is ABSOLUTELY IN NO WAY meant to make fun of a very serious disorder. I have had friends who had it, and if you want a poignant picture of the pain it can cause, watch season 4 of Stormchasers, those last coupl...

Re: story land NH
Sorry to say I've never been. I grew up in Maine, just a short drive to NH, yet my parents never took me to Story Land, Santa's Village or Six Gun City. Not sure if any of my siblings ever went either. I guess my parents weren't into that sort of thing. I do know many of my nieces and nephews have g...

Re: my unipolar depression dx will not be down for breakfast...
Sending good thoughts your way. :hugging: At least you now have the correct diagnosis. I think that is half the battle. Now you can get a game plan together and start to live with a better understanding of who you are. I know that was the case when I was told I had Asperger's. I had known for forty ...
