Here is one item I had to surrender that I will miss. It would have been a very nice item to add to my Disney collection. At least I have a scan of it and my memories. ;)

Re: Mickey Plays Drums At D23
That was pretty cool. I like the blinking eyes, they really bring Mickey to life. I wonder if the mouth is animated also, like the ones used in the show in front of Cinderella's castle, I think it's called Dream along with Mickey.

Re: Clocking Out (Possibly for good)
Texting while driving is an issue Disney has recently begun taken very seriously. Most of the cast parking lots now have signs reminding cast not to text and drive. I saw those, they even had some on the sidewalk to remind people to watch where they walked. I guess texting and walking and be danger...

Re: Clocking Out (Possibly for good)
Another dumb way to get fired is to get caught texting and driving. I heard a manager was fired a few weeks back for doing so. Texting and driving is dumb to begin with and as dangerous as drunk driving.

Re: Overheard in the kingdom
Except that we would have to do that fairly often with the Express, and many could not wrap their heads around the fact that the Resort trains on the parallel beam went to the same place. Tell me about it. Yes sir/ma'am, the Resorts monorail DOES go back to the TTC/parking lot/EPCOT conn...

Hurricane Irene
For those of us in Florida, I'm sure you all are aware of the possibility of Hurricane Irene hitting the Disney area between Friday and Saturday. It may even be as big as a category 3 hurricane. I was wondering what is SOP for CMs under those conditions, as my son will be working this weekend.

Re: ANOTHER Figment?
The last thing I heard about IDs was they everyone, including managers, was supposed to be issued a new Blue ID picture card. The ones I saw still had magnetic strips and bar codes on them. I don't think they were RFID, as they didn't have the 'smart' chips on them one usually sees on these. I know ...

Re: Clocking Out (Possibly for good)
Aren't salaried employees not required to clock in and out? ;) This definitely is not a good way to end one's job, especially when it seems that Disney is looking to cut back on their workforce from some of the news stories I have seen lately.
