Re: For all the friends of characters
As far as the questions go, (would you attack a stranger on the street, etc.), you must remember that this is a British publication, and most of the Brits I've met are very rational people--more so than the average American :o: . The average Brit would stop and think and say no they wouldn't attack ...

Re: Anyone like this CafePress idea?
How about.... "My kid has ridden this ride a thousand times! He does too meet the height requirement!" "If you don't like the rules, get the $#@% outta the park!" "What part of X number of persons per seat don't you understand?" "Why, no, we don't mind if you smoke...

Re: you think I'm fat???
Luckily, when I worked at Knott's, I never had a guest who got offended over our implying that they were too fat to ride. Actually, they were pretty realistic about their size, and very understanding. About the only time I had a "weight issue" come up, was when I was doing Woodstock's Airm...

Re: Capitalism
Used to get that occaisonally at Knott's. People don't understand that the price is comprised of your salary, your bosses' salary, the cost of the merchandise, which in turn includes the cost of transporting, packaging, manufacture, and advertising. But when you realize that people today don't know ...

Re: Rampant Illiteracy at WDW
Oh, jeez, don't get me started. That problem was rampant at Knott's. Especially at Calico Railroad, people couldn't figure out that if you want to board the train, you must walk through the depot to get in line. They'd be climbing over the queue fence, trying to get in through the exit when they wer...

Re: Strollers
When I worked at Knott's, they had these rental strollers that were blue, about 3' long, with a retractable top. These were intended to hold either a couple of kids or your stuff. Several times, though, I would see TEENAGERS riding around in those things! Talk about lazy! When I was a kid, one...

Re: Your Pet Peeves
1.) People who get on your ride (like the Calico Railroad/Galloping Goose) and when they get off they trash talk it, saying it's boring, etc.. People these days have no appreciation of history. 2.) The teenagers who try to get on rides they are too tall for in Camp Snoopy, like Huff'N'Puff, Charlie ...

Re: I'd be a horrible CM.
Once a day deck'em passes? Is that as in free to punch out annoying guests with no penalty? DAYIM!!!! When I worked at Knott's, we RO's could've used a million of those! Not just on obnoxiuos guests, but on bonehead co-workers, snot-brained SLs, and especially on self-serving jerkoff managers! :twis...

Re: Simplified Spiels!
At Knott's. the train bandits would say,"I'll tell you what my daddy said to me on my 18th birthday--get out or start payin' rent!" and "Ride's over--get offa my train!" They also did that "This is your birthday song, it isn't very long" bit.

Re: Workbrain
At the job I had until last week :( the timekeeping system they used was pretty easy. You punched in a four digit number that was assigned to you then put your hand in the reader. The message would come up "Okay" and give a number score. I never got around to asking what the score meant, t...
