The Intermittant Parent

Some folks become parents without realizing it's a full-time job, especially with toddlers. One such was riding the WDW Railroad, and apparently considered himself off-duty, as he was allowing his 3-year-old to stand -- nay, to dance on the seat as the train was in motion. As the train traversed Tom...

Am I Too Short?

I work on an attraction with no height requirement and I still get asked, "How tall do you have to be to ride?" I like to hold my thumb and forefinger about three inches apart and say, "This big." Then I hold my hand up next to them and say, "Yeah, I think you'll pass."...

Where is the show with the dolphins?

"Where is the show with the dolphins?" the guest asked while standing on Main Street U.S.A.

My fellow cast member smiled her best Disney smile and cheerfully answered, "Miami!"

I'd be honored to serve as host when it's time for the WDW meet. I've been co-host for the RADP gatherings for the past 5 years.

One of my leads ran into an abandoned stroller in front of Splash a few months ago. ... They called control and after about 20 minutes, security had not shown up yet. This happened at the Toontown RR Station at MK two years ago. Parents parked the stroller (without sunshade) and boarded the train f...

I just used to remind myself that they were jerks to the cast members before I was born, and they'll still be jerks to the cast members long after I'm dead.
My mantra is similar -- Next week, they'll be back at work and I'll still be at Walt Disney World!

It wasn't Mickey who pushed Humpty, it was Donald, and he didn't mean to. It's just that someone told the duck he couldn't make omlettes without breaking eggs and he sort of lost it. Humpty was just collateral damage.

We had such a "turnstile challenge" just today. A guest who obviously wasn't going to make it through was glaring at the turnstile with a look that would have set it afire if she were a superhero. "Come this way, I'll let you in," said the helpful cast member. "No way! This ...

In attractions, they think you can tell by looking how many are in their group.... I marvel at how many people don't know how many are in their family and give me the wrong number. I delight in shutting the gate in front of grandfather and telling him, "They just voted you out of the family.&q...
