Re: Something Awful
It was interesting reading. The only thing I kept noticing though was that it seemed like on just about every page there was a story that I couldn't help but think wasn't true. There were a couple that I'm sure weren't, and a few that were highly questionable. Just makes you wonder when people can't...

Re: Six Flags' Kentucky Kingdom ~ Bad Accident
Just to answer a couple of the questions above: No, this is not a Six Flags park that is shutting down. In fact, NONE of the Six Flags parks are shutting down. Six of them were sold to new operators, but they are still operating as parks, just under different management. Kentucky Kingdom is remainin...

Re: Photopass question
I know it's been a few months, but thought you might like to know that DPI/ Photopass is hiring again. It's only for part time workers right now, but all that means is that she won't get benefits right away. All the hours that she'd like to work are available if she wants them. Full timers get the b...

Re: Just returned from the World
Some people just don't know when to quit. Speaking of quitting... any tips on keeping the Photopass from quitting taking photos? It always seems like it's just two posed shots.... If we're buying the CD, how about a few candid shots or shots of character interaction? I don't want to seem rude, so I...

Re: Just returned from the World
I do wish the photopass people would take more "fun" (unposed) pictures, especially since my GF and I do spend the $125/trip to buy the CD. (She scrapbooks.) We try to be quick, but hey: we're paying to come have fun too! Odds are we've probably been photographed by your fiance at some po...

Re: The hardest question known to man:...How many in your Party?
If it's any consolation, my kids made sure that we ended up looking like SG's the other day at Animal Kingdom. It was just me and my 2 kids. Every time we walked up to Expedition Everest, they gave a different number in our group. The first time they thought it was 4 (oops, forgot mom is working tod...

Re: Cell phones in the Parks
I absolutely hate this change in society that somehow, people are expected to be in communication and reachable at all times. It's as if the Protestant Work Ethic has gone haywire. People need to have the backbone to say "Enough!" When you leave the office, leave the office. Period. Shut ...

Re: Cell phones in the Parks
No, I'm sorry, to be fair people got along fine without cell phones for about the first 30 to 35 years of Disneyland's operations. No one is indespensible. You can turn your phones off and check them every four hours at a time when you want to get away from the other guests, but come on. Disney par...

Re: Cell phones in the Parks
My most embarassing moment was a Weds night while interpreting a prayer service and it was my cell phone that went off. EEEK! I don't forget anymore. Sadly, I can top that one. I'm the youth/ associate pastor at our church. I was actually preaching to the youth one time when mine went off in the mi...
