Re: Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga

Still in a homeless shelter, our church is moving next month, so instead of walking to a bus stop, waiting for the bus, riding for half an hour, getting off and walking --an hour total--it will just be a 20 minute walk. I can't wait! Should be early next month.

Re: Where Is Everybody?

Well, I ended up buying a new phone--a Motorola E5 smartphone with Android. My favorite feature is that it detects spam calls, and I can block them. I'm gradually rebuilding my contact list. I and my fellow homeless have been on lockdown since Mar. 27.I'm amazed a full-scale riot hasn't broken out. ...

Re: ‘If I’m Going to Get Sick and Die, I Might as Well Do It at Disney World’

We had an altercation at the shelter at lunchtime yesterday. One guy bumped into another--accidentally, of course--and the bumpee hauled off and knocked him to the ground. Then the guy who was bumped started yelling and going on, saying he was keeping it together and this bumped him, yada, yada, yad...

Is that the yellow fever flag from Swiss Family Robinson? The movie, not the attraction.

Re: How Much Toilet Paper?

Cute! At the shelter, we seem to have enough for 400+ people. Sometimes we run out, but apparently we don't have enough people to divide up the commercial-sized rolls into portions for individual use. Some volunteers only roll the paper around their hand a few times before tearing it off, others giv...

Thank goodness someone has a sense of humor! I'd sure hate to be the one handling a return on toilet paper! Especially if it was used! :gross:

Re: ‘If I’m Going to Get Sick and Die, I Might as Well Do It at Disney World’

Went to the library as usual, only to find it closed until further notice. Thank God for Barnes and Noble! This whole thing is utterly ridiculous. You are more likely to get the flu and die from it than get the coronavirus and die of it. Only like 1 person in 100,000 will get it, and of those who ge...

Re: ‘If I’m Going to Get Sick and Die, I Might as Well Do It at Disney World’

It's an election year, so that means the news media gets to blow everything out of proportion--as usual. Why people use hand sanitizer is beyond me, because that controls only BACTERIAL infections, not VIRAL ones. And not many people are paying attention to the fact that 1.) very few people have bee...
