Re: Your FP says 9:40...it's 6:15..
WEDFan, you sound like an Industrial Engineer. (not that there's anything wrong with that) Uh, oh. That must mean I did bore people. :D: Not an IE, though. Systems Architect. Similar. I'm no longer IE, so feel free to make fun of it. But yeah, WEDFan, you basically summarized the fun exciting inter...

…Continued Wow, I can’t believe I wrote so much that I needed two messages. Don’t remember doing that before. Hope I haven’t bored anyone to death. :o:  At any rate, with all the stuff above, I think Fastpass is a pretty good compromise. For the people who use it, they get to experience att...

Re: Your FP says 9:40...it's 6:15..
There have been a lot of really interesting observations about Fastpass here, and they’ve made me think about it more. There’s always a danger in thinking more, since I then feel like I need to share my thoughts. The basic problem is that certain attractions are scarce resources. Demand is hig...

Re: No More Room Assigners at Resorts
Now, if we could find someone to modify Uberblock to work with a Lilo expected arrivals report, the time could probably be cut down somewhat. Kurtis, how are your excel VBA skills? Ah, Excel with VBA! The things you can go with that. You should see the tool I put together to plan a multi-family tri...

Re: Overheard in the kingdom
A number of years ago we watched Illuminations in the run up to a hurricane (the parks were closed a good part of the next day). We were surprised that given the volume of rain coming down that the show went on. It was hard to see much and the sound wasn't exactly, well, crisp, but it was still kind...

Re: Your FP says 9:40...it's 6:15..
That is exactly Universal's problem. If you have noticed, their standby estimates tend to be unreliable. This is due to there being no metering on returns, all the express users in a park could all go to the attraction at the same time. This would be way worse at disney due to there being more para...

Re: Your FP says 9:40...it's 6:15..
For my own part, I really would hate to see priority for a price options. Personally, I could afford to pay extra, but somehow it seems less egalitarian to me. If there is no priority at all, or if a system like Fast Pass is being used, then everyone can do something to help themselves to see the mo...

In high school, huh? I don't think you could get a projectionist license in my state until 18. The whole carbon arc thing made people nervous. I didn't get to play with projectors until college. :D:GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:Mrs. Grumpy was many years later!

Re: Dining Duhs
So we are!!!! Howdy!!!! Howdy! Both my folks and my DH's folks did that as well. In fact, my DH was convinced that the movie couldn't start until enough kids got to the playground down near the screen and started swinging. Same here. I remember seeing "The Computer Who Wore Tennis Shoes" ...
