Fewer than expected SGs. Yay!

We just got back from a fairly spur-of-the-moment trip to the World. Even though there were more people than we were used to (we usually aim for slower times), there didn’t seem to be a huge number of SGT’s in evidence. Oh, there was the usual assortment of “Assaults by Stroller” and “Sudden Stoppin...

Re: Monorail for city centers?

What I'm waiting for next is when states turn down Federal money, maybe the Feds say, okay, then we don't need to spend it, and maybe, like... give it back to the taxpayers? No, I am not on drugs. I'm very sure it will go to people who are taxpayers. Now, if you are thinking of it going back...

Re: Howdy from a former mod at "Board X"

OK, sounds like there is a story there... I work in the IT side of health care, and in addition to the well known "privacy and portability" side of HIPAA there are the "Administrative Simplification" aspects of the law. There is also an enhancement/clarification concerning priva...

No! No! Don't mention HIPAA! Anything but that.

Re: Monorail for city centers?

If it is such a great idea I would think that the private sector would be on this project. To run a high speed train for a couple of people is just dumb. If demand is high enough that it can support itself, that's another story. This country is not ready to give up it's cars yet. I have to admit th...

Re: Monorail for city centers?

I wish you all the luck in the world, Zazu. I would love to see an extension of the monorail or some new form of mass transportation at WDW. To me, it really is like another attraction. I appreciate the buses, but they aren't fun, per se. At least not since the spieling drivers were mostly silenced....

Re: Monorail for city centers?

Combining the PeopleMover with something like the Minnesota Skyway would be alot of fun in an urban center, although I suppose simple moving sidewalks would be easier in that kind of setting. The PeopleMover would be a lot more fun, though! :D:

Re: Monorail for city centers?

I would love to see more mass transportation. One of the things I really enjoy about my trips to WDW is NOT getting behind the wheel of a car. My commute is a couple of hours a day and I would much rather spend it on a train or bus, but the options don't work at all. Applying something like the Wedw...

Re: Don't Sneeze!

My 13 year old is in middle school. During the first week "orientation" they were told they were teenagers now and needed to wear deodorant and bathe or they would smell "funky". One of the teachers commented, "And don't try to cover it up with perfume, because that just ma...
