Re: Bathroom Tricks
You're right. I don't approve. That's what your Disney Hotel room is for!!! I'm with you! To me, never mind the inappropriate public location factor...that's totally ick. DH would get a smack upside the head if he suggested sex in a bathroom stall anywhere... Hotel shower, yeah, sure...but on...

Re: Refillable mugs
I'd bet a soda (in a refillable mug from 2001) that it's just a serial number that does a lookup against a database that grants the permissions. If it's anything like the access control system I deal with, it'll have a man database that it checks against, but will load all currently active chips in...

Re: Drinks SGT Style...
How do those chipped cups work? I'm not sure about the exact technology involved, but basically the soda machine won't work unless the cup you are using has one of the chips in it, and the chips are programmed to only work for a set length of time, such as the length of your current stay in the cas...

Yup...you're right. The website I originally saw the report on has edited it to say Sports instead.BriDon51 wrote:I heard it was All Star Sports that are putting RFID chips in the souvenir cups and their paper cups also

Re: Drinks SGT Style...Is it true?!
On the topic of SGT drinks... Is it true? Is there hope that the "SGs filling up anything and everything at the soda machines" problem is soon to be solved? I just read on another website that Pop Century is going to be piloting microchipped cups in their food court, I'm assuming ones simi...

Re: Fast Pass Pet Peeve
Same goes for the ones that reach into the water and splash the whole boat and think it's so funny. No kidding! Three of the most annoying SGs I've ever encountered were two pre-teen boys and their mom, on It's a Small World one trip. The mom gave each boy a bag of pennies at the start of the...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
I'm guessing that your schools initials are M.P. ? Thats where we expect my daughter will be going for the IB program. A coworkers daughter just finished her first year in the program, and they are very please with the school. I wasn't aware that they didn't use the regular guidance office for the ...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
The 40 or so is just the number of kids in my alpha that were physically at grad (i.e. the graduates in attendance that night). Our school has about 1500 students, but about 600 are in the international baccalaureate program, so we don't handle any of the academic advising or routine stuff for any o...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
In my school we were told that we were meant to go to them with those kinds of issues, but I bet they would have just passed it off to someone else if anyone did. In Ontario, it's the law that we have to "pass off" abuse/neglect issues to the relevant children's aid branch...we can actual...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
You state, "... the dozens of kids who told me at grad last week that I'd made a huge difference in their lives and that they'd miss me when they went off to their various colleges and universities..." What about the rest of the kids? Why didn't they have any kind words for you? <snip> So...
