Re: Adventures In Fruity Drink Land

That's too funny..I immediately had to forward that link to a friend of mine. He had his straps break while on an expressway, and his canoe launched into the vehicle behind him. He'll be thrilled to know it's not just him. :D:

Re: Turnstile Crash?

Okay, not to drag a FP+ conversation over here (heaven knows there's enough of them over on Board X) but do you, having actually talked to people who have a clue, think it's going to be as bad as the Board X-ers are predicting? When I read those threads, I get a definite "end of the world"...

Re: I'd Rather Whine than Switch

Wanna bet there's some SG posting over on Board X right now, complaining about how their vacation was ruined because they couldn't do their Pirate voyage, and it's all Disney's fault...?

Re: The beginning of the end? Or the end of the beginning?

FWIW, I'm another one who logs on at least once a day, and noticed the outage but had no idea who to contact. Again, as it was the end of the month, I first assumed SGT'd used up its bandwidth again and it would be back up soon. While I don't have the computer skills to run something like this, I ca...

Re: Adventures In Fruity Drink Land

We do a lot of work at my high school on the "stand up, speak up" theme. The idea is not so much that students should themselves fight back against people that are bullying them, but that everyone else around should speak up and let the bully know that their behaviour is not acceptable. So...

Out of curiosity, does that create changes in shifts, working conditions, etc. for CMs? Or is it just a warning that you're supposed to watch for SGs with heatstroke and such?

Roger Ebert will not be down for breakfast

Roger Ebert, one of the great film critics of all time, lost his battle with cancer today at the age of 70.

Two thumbs down. :(

Re: Stompin' Tom Connors will not be down for breakfast

I personally would consider Stompin Tom's "Hockey Song" to be the 2nd best song ever written about hockey. My personal fav Stompin Tom song is "Sudbury Saturday Night." The Hockey Song is epic, but it's less pure Canadian in nature... :-) (but no hate sent KieranDotW's way, just...

Re: Stompin' Tom Connors will not be down for breakfast

He was our equivalent to Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Elvis, etc. - a true icon for Canadian culture as well as a great musician. It's a very sad day.
