Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
Guidance counselor? There's a waste of space and funds. They call you in once a year, have no idea who you are or what you're interested in, and have completely forgotten you five minutes after you walk out the door. Wow. Thanks for that. Good to know I'm a waste of space. Guess I better tell that ...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
And I also just wanted to add, that, obviously, if a kid failed 3 out of their 4 classes, they shouldn't be allowed to walk. But if they have 1 class that they're going to make up in summer school, maybe a little more consideration should go into their case. Which is our policy, in fact...one short...

Psst...we Canucks have real sugar in pretty much all of our sugared soft-drinks... :D: It's caffeinated Mtn Dew that we have to go south of the border to acquire...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
It does amaze me that some parents (well, ALL SG parents), don't teach their children. Okay, this isn't theme-park-related, but it's a total SG parent story... I'm a high school teacher and guidance counsellor. Today we had a parent come up with the most SG complaint I've heard all year... :D: Me: ...

Re: Howdy from a former mod at "Board X"
If you ever post a link to any of the other boards to say, "Hey, look at this thing that this user of that board said," or something of that nature, I have a ball and chain ready for you. No kidding! ;) Most of us "Board X Refugees" escaped to this board for a reason. Why would ...

Re: OMG, Stop That!
The older kids aren't all special needs kids. Board X regularly has threads (pronounced "flame wars") about strollers, and a large number of posters are adamant that there's nothing wrong with getting a rental "double-wide" so that their 8 or 10 yr old can ride in it. The theory ...

Re: Can a CM clarify? - transportation
As for snooty people staying on site. Us campers have dealt with that forever. Despite having over $100,000 wrapped up in my 5th wheel and truck, we are way below those staying at a true resort. I've always been kind of jealous of the folks staying at Fort W...especially around the holidays. I love...

Re: Your FP says 9:40...it's 6:15..
I've been watching the debate, and while I side with FP, here's the point where i'll agree with you. As much as FP is promoted, there are still those that don't know it and they see (Disney sanctioned) line cutting. While I don't feel it is, I do agree that the hard feelings would dissipate if the ...

Re: things you could do without seeing or watching someone do
Okay, since someone else already resurrected the thread, I've got an addition... :D: A co-worker of DH's (CW for short) just got back from a WDW trip with his wife and kids. So, DH asks CW how the trip was, since DH did most of the planning and reservations for him and wanted them to have a good tim...
