Re: Pin Traders!

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I dug the Pin Trading. Those who worked with me will remember my 60-pin lanyard which I wore (as opposed to the 12 pins we were supposed to wear). I had friendly APs who would look for me when they came in, and one group that I made sure to stop and chat with at the Pl...

Re: 3-D GLASSES Thieves

I used to confiscate Captain EO and (later) HISTA glasses all the time. My favorite was a family sitting at the Hub before the fireworks. They had three pairs sitting on the bench next to them. Without a word, I picked up the glasses and walked back to my cart, planning to return them to the attract...

Re: Universal Tricks

You guys open Fear Factor yet? Not yet...it was supposed to open tomorrow (June 10th), but it was pushed back to the 18th (saturday after closing I saw then bringing in set pieces, so I'm guessing they ran a bit behind in construction). Today was the press preview, though, and there are rehearsals ...

Re: Universal Tricks

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!!!!! Universal is CERTAINLY NOT disney. They treat their people better for one thing. I personally did 4 years at WDW, and 12 at UO. You do the math, if Mickey will let you. I've learned this (for those who know who I am, I joined the pilgrimmage of Chris, Mike, Shawn and Cindy ...

Re: Worst Costume you've ever seen...

Needless to say, the damn cheap white dress shirts were *extremely* see-thru......not the worst thing for a guy, but I felt bad for the woman working with me the Yellows pants were like that dry...I remember seeing lots of underwear on the girls (I couldn't say if the guys were the same way...I onl...

Re: People Ruin The Magic!!!

From what I hear, they hit the AP holders for $10 each and then Pressler took the mic and welcomed everybody to a "dress rehearsal" when they were expecting a performance . "Rehearsal." I'd want my money back too. --t I won't argue that Disney did a poor job of marketing that ev...

Re: People Ruin The Magic!!!

For those who don't understand why Entertainment CMs would be upset, I have a reminder for you: The Annual Passholder Light Magic preview. As I recall, the performers were booed and disrespected by a throng of APs who all asked for their $10 back after the show. All because it wasn't the Electrical ...

Saying &*@% You With a Smile

It happens to all of us. You've been asked once too many where the Haunted Mansion is when you are 20 feet away from it (and selling churros to people in line). Instead of a nice happy two-fingered point and a smile, it becomes "Just hop on the train, get off at the fourth stop, and it'll be on...

Re: You Know It's Busy When...

...Winnie the Pooh seems like it needs Fastpass back ...Churros 6 is across from the Mansion instead of next to it so Mansion CM's have room to extend the line (then back to the original spot in the evening so Fantasmic GC doesn't yell at us) ...Stockers are being told to take out smaller loads (tho...

Re: Magic Music Days

Congrats, Lasolimu. I'm not a part of MMD, but have seen most of the process that you go through. My high school band was turned down for MMD (though, in truth, we were pretty bad), but I love the program. For your part, you get to see a little of the backstage are, but not enough to spoil the magic...
