Re: Disney Spending More on Theme Parks Than on Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm Combined
Each of Disney’s six theme park resorts around the world.... One wonders how much credibility to give to a report that cannot correctly count the number of Disney's theme park resorts. There are only five: 1. Anaheim 2. Orlando 3. Paris 4. Hong Kong 5. Shanghai The Tokyo Disney Resort is owned, ope...

Thanks for everything, Ktulu. I haven't contributed lately, but I always kept coming back and seeing what was happening. It was nice to always find it here.

I wonder if they had kids... if not they might be in the running for the Darwin Awards.
While I don't wish for peoples' deaths, it is hard to generate a lot of sympathy for criminals who get hurt in the act.

First it was vog or volcanic smog. Now it's laze. Laze is formed when hot lava hits the ocean. The change in temperature creates hydrochloric acid and steam. Within the steam, fine glass particles may be dispersed through the air. So it burns, eats away, and shreds your lungs. Lovely. So Hobie, are...

Re: David Ogden Stiers Will Not Be Down for Breakfast
I am saddened by the news. I've liked DOS ever since I first saw him on M.A.S.H. I was always delighted when he turned up in something I was watching or in something I wanted to watch. One small note on Frank Burns, though, felinefan. I think you confused his exit from the story with Col. Blake. Fra...

Well, they did automate the "Please stand clear of the doors..." warning. That covers it, doesn't it?

Mmmmm... cookies... We've lived on Maui for almost fifteen years. In all those years we've never been visited by the Girl Scouts selling cookies. Until last week. Last week, the doorbell sounded (Schnauzer racing to the front gate) and I started to walk out. I could just see two heads and thought t...

Politics aside, it looks like ISPs are going to be able to harvest browsing destinations and use it for marketing purposes. An alternative to a VPN is the TOR browser but it's pretty slow. It may boil down to speed vs. privacy. Which already happens when you visit the vast majority of websites. Hec...
