Re: A Time For Sorrow
http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_21118201/unknown-number-people-shot-at-aurora-movie-theater My thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by this. :( I'll second this. We used to do premieres at a Century theater back when I lived in the Denver area (in the dark ages when only o...

He ought to be apologizing the whole nation if he really rolled anything sizable into the Morning Glory geyser at Yellowstone. Stupid guests at Disney are annoying, but most of the stuff there can be replaced -- no one's yet figured out how to undo the damage tourists are doing to the geysers.

Re: Apparantly not everyone understands that putting water on a grease fire is bad
I've always been grateful my little sister had the presence of mind to put a lid on the pan when she got some bacon going and then wandered off and forgot about it -- until the smoke reminded her. But of course we grew up on Emergency!, so she'd been drilled on it a bit. ;)

I've got a better idea. Have SUV, Will Drive :D: We've got a van, but ditto. I kind of like the "in the air" part, but I've never liked hanging out in airports, and I like to see the country, so the added hassle means I haven't been on a plane since 9-11 either. Been in airports a time or...

Re: We now return you to your regularly scheduled stupidity
Was starting to panic a bit there, then I finally had the brights to do a search instead of using my bookmark. Yah, I'm slow. I'm getting the "click on Forum and get homepage" thing, too, and then if I click "Forums" *there* I get the Forums page. I'm pretty sure it doesn't do th...

Re: Andy Griffith will not be down for breakfast...
Sorry to lose him, but that's a good age. :) He admitted to having a bad tempter and being a pain to work with (especially during Matlock , but OTOH he stayed friends with Don Knotts and Ron Howard to the very end. Although they're both reportedly sweethearts, so maybe that says more about them than...

I wondered about that myself. I've always seen Shatner kinda like Lucille Ball. Willing to do anything on camera for a laugh and/or effect. That was my first thought, but on second though he likes to be in control, too. And he's a tad vain. My theory: if he'd known his underwear was going to be sho...

Re: Scam Telephone Calls
I wonder just how much Caller ID has screwed up the accuracy of telephone polling? I'm guessing they've never been terrifically accurate, because some types of people wouldn't put up with them. My husband and brother won't; husband politely but firmly tells them he doesn't have time, brother just h...
