Re: New here!

Hi and welcome Sue M. I am just a guest who aspires to be cast member when I retire, which is only a little over a year away. I had an AP for WDW the last three years I lived in Seattle, so fully understand your cross country love of Walt Disney World!

Re: This is a new one-Dis Playground police?

There is, in my opinion, a huge difference between the transportation system, which may be used by anyone to access, say, a dining reservation at a resort, vs amenities such as pools (which is very definitely NOT okay) or playgrounds, at a particular resort. Resort hopping for drinks or meals is mos...

Re: Inventing a phantom child to get extra free dining credits.

 WOW, what an idea! I am going solo during free dining, so I can actually make the package reservation for two adults... pay $75 for the extra one day ticket... eat at signature restaurants every day... and keep the extra ticket for future use... AND convert my unused credits into snacks t...

Re: Save me from being a SG - tell me what NOT to do

What I'm looking for is any *other* tips that might not come immediately to mind. For example: - I've got at least one, if not two or three kiddos who might be a little timid at first on some of the really dark rides. If it's not too bright, may I bring on a small penlight to offer them a little co...

Re: Bummed That Lights of Winter at Gone at Epcot

I really miss the Osborn Family lights like they were displayed the first year - it was like walking down a really fantastic suburban neighborhood. It's so over the top now that, for me, I lose some of the history and magic of how that display came to be. I hear more references to Ozzie and Sharon t...

Re: Crush crushed

I've never understood those parents that don't want to "lie" to their children. It isn't about lying, it's about planting a little magic inside them - that little spark that they can take out during the dark times to let the light of hope. And if it doesn't get planted when they're little...

Re: A pat on the back

OMG. I went through a case of Kleenex! Gotta go to Costco for replacements. If Cast Members weren't so appreciated, Disney would NOT have the number of fans (aka repeat visitors) that they have (and I are one). You guys rock! :D:

Re: Crush crushed

Thank you for the welcomes! I've lurked here for way too long and thought it was time to come out of the closet. It is my sincere desire to become one of you (a cast member). I've been working with my financial advisor to make my dream an integral part of my retirement plan! ;)
