Re: Pet Peeve
I remember watching some investigative journalism show when I was younger that did a piece on traffic. They went out and had three cars drive in each lane of a highway, each going exactly the speed limit, right next to each other so nobody could pass them, to see what would happen. A massive traffic...

Re: Mobile hotspots in the parks?
I actually got one wrong. But I think it was because I somehow skipped one, and then couldn't remember which one it was when I went back to answer it. The thing is, I know I can't sing, and I often have trouble distinguishing between notes. I actually learned this at a puppetry workshop, when they t...

Re: Interesting people...
Sadly, the picture was taken at Chicago Tardis, a Chicago area Doctor Who convention. I do know there is an Orlando based Doctor Who con, usually in October, called Hurricane Who. Don't know if they have a TARDIS, or not, though. I've also managed to meet a fleet of Daleks and K-9 while at Chicago T...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
It sounds like the system in the States is really different. I mean, how can guidance miss that a kid's failed a class? Our computers spit out a list and we meet with each and every one of those kids to figure out a plan. And what happens to the kids that don't graduate in four years? Where do they...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
This might just be a difference here in the States again. I know in my school the only time I saw the counselor was when they were making sure we were on track to graduate which was only just before signing up for classes. It was the same way at my high school, and yet, I still managed to slip thro...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
Yeah, they wanted me to get my GED, too, but I refused. I took night classes, and actually ended up getting my diploma the same year as my brother, two years after my class graduated. Of course, he had the big graduation ceremony, and I walked across the floor of the guidance counselor's office whil...

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
And I also just wanted to add, that, obviously, if a kid failed 3 out of their 4 classes, they shouldn't be allowed to walk. But if they have 1 class that they're going to make up in summer school, maybe a little more consideration should go into their case.

Re: Confrontation in the Star Tours queue
I don't come to these boards that often anymore, mainly because I no longer work at Disney regularly, and I tend to miss it a lot when I read about it. But I'm planning a trip soon, and decided to look around. This post upset me, I'm not going to lie. I was a problem child in high school, failed alm...
