Re: Overheard by guest
Umm... did this person just pick up the GAC? I'm guessing that maybe they thought they got one over on Disney, but were in for a rude awakening when they actually tried to use it and didn't get front-of-the-line access like they thought they would.

Re: Year of Free Tickets
I often wonder if OCSO has officers patrolling WDW property in Mickey costumes, every time I see someone pulled over. Have your brother do these phrases in the Mickey voice: "Driver's license and registration, please!" "Oh, boy! Do you know how fast you were going?" "I'd adv...

Re: Dear Housekeeping...
Two things:
- It wasn't fresh, was it? (If so... someone has some 'splainin' to do.)
- Did this place have hourly rates listed?

Re: RIP Respect for the WDW Monorail Fleet
I'm just waiting for Borat* to do a movie sequel and for the Walt Disney Company to produce it. His mug on the monorail might spice up the Epcot experience a bit.
* Yes, I know the Borat character is retired.

Re: Year of Free Tickets
At TL we went from seven Greeters to 14 for a normal day plus three people from DTD Guest Relations and the system is nowhere near as secure. And the Greeters cannot really talk to the Guests. I guess I'm not seeing the cost savings here. They're cutting back EMH, but they're employing double the g...

Re: Year of Free Tickets
Is there any kind of protocol for stopping people who are trying to crash the gates? Bloodhounds? Linebackers?
Otherwise, it just seems like a problem not waiting to happen, but already happening. There needs to be at least some sort of gate that unlocks.

Caption This Sign from the General Joe Potter
I know this isn't what the sign really means, but I couldn't help but caption it. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-NoP5t099ikQ/UU0Uhh1MW_I/AAAAAAAAASs/vfi1cwTJ33E/w703-h711-p-o-k/general%2Bjoe%2Bpotter.jpg "Please do not defecate on our stairs." I'm sure the SGT crew can come up with eve...

Re: Disney To Acquire Lucasfilm
Funny how I was just talking about a "Star Wars Land" with a pen pal on Board X! The idea of Indiana Jones in DAK would also be a natural - you'd just have to have plenty of snakes, bugs, and rats to go along with it (and to fit with DAK theme). As one of my coworkers put it, "Disney ...

Re: How Disney operates...
I'm not sure if it's necessarily "disruptive technology", since I don't think they're new pieces of technology that will change the entire industry. It's not like the replacement of the steam engine. However, I do see those projects as increasing consumer willingness-to-pay for those produ...
