Re: Segway

Since one cannot ask for proof that a service animal is "certified" due to the fact that they allow you to train your own animal something had to be done to stop the abuse. There was abuse aplenty! In my area, it seems to be a way to get around the "no pets allowed" rule in a lo...

Re: Free Wi-Fi?!?

How much of a difference outwardly do you think free WiFi will really make? It seems to me like it will mostly be used by people to connect up their Smartphones. They have them today, and they certainly use them freely in the parks, but it's just on their data plan at this point. I agree with Darks...

Re: Segway

But I thought therapy animals weren't allowed, only designated service animals. Service animals tend to go through some kind of certification process and training with paperwork. With a lot of "comfort animals," you get stuck taking the person's word for it that the little yappy teacup si...

Re: Segway

The thing that really worries me about the Segways is the high-end speed. Even at the lowest setting, they are a danger to ankles and shins, but if the user has the "governer" or whatever the official designation is set to the highest setting (what used to be the red key) you can do some ...

Re: Free Wi-Fi?!?

Besides, I'm sure Guest Services is just going to LOVE this... "Your WiFi doesn't work, I can't connect..." Maybe they need to put that disclaimer on the ticket...."Disney is not responsible if you can't figure out how to connect your random wireless capable device to the public netw...

Re: How do some people get in to the parks with "adult" shirts?

I think it's an issue of people having a lack of situational awareness. Just because it's okay to wear out drinking with your buddies, doesn't mean it's okay to wear at a family theme park. Sadly, if you go back and look in these people's closets, probably all the shirts they have contain references...

Re: Condolensces RE: SG's on president's visit

I second the condolences! At LEAST he came on a weekday instead of a Friday/Weekend....I work by a major airport and everytime he or the VP comes through, it's near impossible to get to or from our office. I don't know why they don't fly him into the air force base down the road...

Re: Christmas Parade SGs

Yeah, I had no intention on arguing with the CM. That guy's job was tough enough already. And even if I was right or wrong, I would have been the one to come out looking like the mean one for trying to take space from a little old frail lady in a wheelchair. It was way easier for DH and I to walk aw...

Christmas Parade SGs

What kind of morons leave their wheelchair bound Gramma on Main Street holding your spot for the Christmas Parade, when ALL she seems to be able to do is sweep her arms to the side and say "taken." She was holding a place for four people who didn't show until 2 minutes before the parade. I...

Cheap Eats near the park....

My question for all you broke Disney Cast Members... Where is a cheap GOOD place to eat breakfast near the parks? DH and I will be up that way in December and were wondering where we could find a cheap, but good breakfast hear the World. If you know of a good Southern Soulfoodish breakfast place, th...
