Re: New American Adventure Costumes
But that said, I still don't see why a CM would take it personally. No one that deals with the public day in and day out have a skin that thin do they? I haven't worked for Disney. But I have had to provide service with a smile, occasionally while wearing some pretty silly things. And no...

Re: Save me from being a SG - tell me what NOT to do
Seen tonight at Epcot - a kid who looked to be about two climbing the Test Track sign (this one http://www.guide2wdw.com/images/December%202008/Walt%20Disney%20World%20Epcot%20Future%20World%20Test%20Track%201.JPG ) He'd climb the dashed yellow center section as high as he could, then cling to it an...

Yes, the ride is over now
I was at Blizzard Beach yesterday. My six year old was riding the tube slides at Ski Patrol and I was hanging out near the bottom in case she needed a hand out. A woman comes down the slide, and just sits in the tube floating around in the landing pool. The lifeguard CM pulls her tube over to the sh...

Re: WDW CM Jailed for Skimming Credit Card Info
Thank you for all the info Dawn... and BTW welcome to SGT if it hadn't been mentioned before (Bad Marsupials). For the record the last person to refuse to show ID (or even the card) had a mag recorder in their car. Our people are very good at what they do and have the officers cell phones on speed ...

Re: WDW CM Jailed for Skimming Credit Card Info
It's been a long day so let me get this straight. If I dispute a charge on my card, the card issuer will pretty much back me up. Now,if I refuse to show the vendor ID, tough twinkies for them? The card issuer says they have to take it? And yet the card issuers are bitching about losing $$...

Re: WDW CM Jailed for Skimming Credit Card Info
Wow... they actually say that in their TOS? As a cardholder I think that's horrible. I'd much rather show my ID to folk along with my card, than have my card used by someone who's not me. I find it appalling that credit card companies would in fact try to PREVENT a Point of Sale person from stoppin...

Re: WDW CM Jailed for Skimming Credit Card Info
Two very valid points there. Regardless of the merchant agreement, if you refuse to show ID, our Loss Prevention office will be very interested in talking to you. That's after running the transaction through just so the police can file felony charges if it is fraudulent. BTW this is NOT Disney. My ...

Re: WDW CM Jailed for Skimming Credit Card Info
This is the standard TOS, I'm willing to bet that Disney's lawyers didn't sign off on the standard TOS. I'm willing to bet that most major corporations with a staff of lawyers did the same. Obviously no one is privy to any particular individual agreement. However, Disney has no -reason- to object t...
