Re: Turnstile Crash?

I have heard a very good explanation concerning all of NextGen, which includes MagicBands, Fastpass Plus, My Disney Experience, RFID tickets and everything related. The description is from a friend who is a very high-level Technical Specialist in Disney's IT department: "This is a railroad clai...

Re: How Can You Not Know That Guns Are Not Allowed In The Parks?!?!?!

Last year we had a group of kids from a local Police Athletic League come to TL. The group leader was a Deputy Sheriff (in plainclothes) who was officially on duty. He told us he was armed and asked that his gun be put in the safe in Guest Services while he was in the park. He did unload the gun bef...

Re: Year of Free Tickets

At TL we went from seven Greeters to 14 for a normal day plus three people from DTD Guest Relations and the system is nowhere near as secure. And the Greeters cannot really talk to the Guests. I have publicly stated to my Manager that I expect us to have turnstiles back within three years, And also ...

Re: SG planning on buying extra days to park hop

Over at DisBoards, in the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies, this is probably the absolutely most asked question about anything in the Parks. I have a standard reply: [font="Times New Roman"]A base ticket is one major (theme) park per day. You are allowed to re-enter the same park if ...

Re: Disneyland Vacation

Do you pay property tax too? Maui County determined that they were loosing a huge hunk of tax revenue because of hotel conversions to timeshare and timeshares being built instead of hotels. What did they do? They created a new property tax category for timeshare units. It must be pretty gawd awful ...

Re: Five Guys Burgers and Fries

I used to go to the original one (before it became a chain). It is in Alexandria, VA just off King Street (Route 7) West of I-385 and near Beauregard Street. Definitely was the best burger in the entire DC Metro area. Even won awards from Washingtonian Magazine for several years.

Not Rumor - It Happened To Me!

A few years ago I was working Indiana Jones during the winter. Christmas week we had just capacity-closed the 5:30pm show even though it was still a few minutes early. I was working one of the Greeter positions outside the queue area. Of course I was politely turning Guests away, telling them we wou...
