Re: We now return you to your regularly scheduled stupidity
This year, I have been so blessed! My employer gave me a $1000 Christmas bonus, and me and the whole staff were given the last two weeks of December off with pay! Kind of weird not going in to work on Thursday and Friday. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Stay Healthy, my friends!

Re: Crumbling Matterhorn
I remember that whenever we drove along the 5 freeway, we would look for the Matterhorn; we could see it coming and going. Now when you drive along the freeway, it's only when you're going south that you can glimpse it, and then just barely. All the hotels, etc., that have grown up in the area hide ...

Re: Thoughts On Tomorrowland
I think the first time we visited Disneyland was in 1961 or 1962. I remember going through a "House of the Future", but it wasn't terribly exciting. I remember I had gotten one of those big lollipops before we went in, and my brother telling me that the men in suits that were watching ever...

Re: "Wokeness" has ruined Disney World
I think it's ridiculous that this so-called "wokeness" has to shape our entertainment sources. Walt didn't create Disneyland to promote a political or social agenda, he wanted families to have fun together. Look, slavery happened, okay? But before they began kidnapping Africans and forcing...

Prince Phillip Won't Be Down For Breakfast
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip, husband of Queen Elizabeth ii, passed away early this morning, two months short of his 100th birthday. He was the longest living royal consort. Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth II were married about 74 years. He retired from royal duties two years ago due...

Re: We now return you to your regularly scheduled stupidity
Update: rounded up some friends, and we got essentially all my stuff out of storage (I left a torchiere lamp that I don't need, and I seem to be missing a rubber boot.). Now I'm making my way through my stuff, donating--instead of selling--tossing, and keeping my stuff. Did quite a bit of work Wedne...

Re: We now return you to your regularly scheduled stupidity
Hello, everybody! The usual thread for posting socially is locked, so I had to come here. Great news! Near the end of January, I got my own apartment!!!! It's in a brand-new apartment complex built specifically for low income people like moi! Five hundred twenty eight square feet of space, with a sm...

Re: James Randi will not be down for breakfast.
I once read an interview article on him; though an atheist, he stated that the magician and false prophet Elymas, aka Bar-Jesus, was struck blind, only lost his vision for 6 months. Well, yeah, it does say he lost his vision for a time, where he got the six months I don't know, much less where he go...

Anyone know if they're using this time off to maintain and repair/upgrade the attractions at the parks?
