Re: Your Spiels
Do you and your friend do that in front of the 1 hour + queue line for Turtle Talk with Crush? What kind of responses do you get? :p: We would sometimes, and we would still get a pretty good response. But we were more close to those who knew they were guaranteed into the next show! :p: Sometimes we...

Re: Your Spiels
My friend and I used this one at the Living Seas: "We're currently celebrating the Happiest Celebration on Earth...so I got a question for ya? ARE YA HAPPY? *replies from crowd, usually a yes* Good, because I'm happy when your happy. I'm sad when you are sad. And when you are angry...I'm normal...

Re: Space Mountain Stupidity
At Soarin' (WDW), there was a time when people were constantly jumping over the wall to get into the Fastpass line. Or they would go through a gate. We usually distributed our fastpasses by noon or one. So, the person at Fastpass Distribution was then used to walk up and down our old singles line an...

Re: ever been "fired" by a guest?
Speaking of the wrong nametags... My friend and I would trade nametags and make fun of one another at Kidcot to the kid's enjoyment. Technically, we'd be making fun of ourselves. Guests that weren't around would be like "Carrie, where is the exit" and the she would answer and not I. Ha. We...

Re: Intervening Guests?
I've never personally intervened on guests yelling at CMs, but I've never seen it. My friend and I would visit the parks as CMs and make sure we entertain the CMs if they are around. We know it sucks having to answer stupid questions. So, we'd high five some CMs as we passed or said hello. I know it...

Re: guest compliment
I don't think I ever worked with a Mystery Guest when I was working. I guess someone tells you if you did. I was working the Hydrolators at Living Seas and having fun with the spiel. Some guests were like "Finally, an employee with a personality!" Woohoo! That same day I had someone take m...

Re: Standoff with Guests
I'm so happy that the Living Seas did not have Fastpass. I had to go through some situations with guests at Turtle Talk. I can't remember any specifically, but I remember after handling some, other guests celebrate you. Thats my favorite part. I only worked Soarin' Greeter/FP Dist/FP Return a few ti...

Re: Mistaken guest genders. . .
I was hosting Turtle Talk at the Living Seas, and Crush wanted to talk to a girl in a yellow shirt, so I go to this one kid, and they go "I'm a boy." Ew. So, I knew it was the wrong kid, so I found the right one. Later, the boy had a question, but Crush called him a 'dudette.' So, he told ...

Re: "Is Her Birdday.," ... Character Woes of the Day
When I was at Disney World, I'd enjoy the interactions a thousand times to the actual autographs and pictures. Some of my favorite memories was playing jump rope with Tigger and Eeyore in the Pooh room. Tigger and I also danced together. Then my friend and I got a group photo with all 3 characters! ...
