Best part: The sucker had to PAY to get in the park.
*sigh* the mere thought of people spending money to come to "work" amuses me every time.

Re: I worked 7-17-05
As an almost regular parade shifter, I must say, the 17th was a bit easy. Sure, it was somewhat crowded for a Sunday, but nothing extreme, and thankfully, everyone was quite behaved. I dunno, it just felt too easy. I was so amped up for the week, with a dark forboding, and for nothing to happen, wel...

Re: Anyone experience Virtual Tragic Kingdom yet?
The game depressed me when I realized there was a "market" for ONLINE digital pin trading.

Re: A 50th thought
It will be a war, no doubt about it.
But after getting through July 4th crowd control, I'm still standing.
They could bus in convicts and give them commemerative 50th handguns and bullets and I still wouldn't care.

Re: Messing with kids' minds is fun!
I always tell folks on Steam Trains that our Trains can go so fast that we can go to Arizona and look at the Grand Canyon, AND we actually break the barrier of time and space and travel BACK IN TIME....all within five minutes, AND we can still manage to get back to Main Street in time to keep the tr...

Parade Crusaders, UNITE!
Does anyone actually call Parade Guest Control "Parade Crusade", or it something I came up with on my own?
Anyways, I know your pain, in fact, I'm gonna have to deal with it in a few hours from now.

Jim Hill....
...is he one of those smug Disney fanatics whose idea of fixing DCA is to level it to the ground with saturation bombing so they can have the precious Parking Lot of whatever twisted vision of their youth back?

Re: Parenting at its finest
Whoo-Boy, I got to see some of this today up-close and personal. So I'm Parade Crusading at the end of fireworks trying to make every last crazy in the park keep to the right, when this psycho lady (PL, from now on...) comes up to the fellow CM next to me and starts the conniption from hell. I had n...

Not quite on-topic, but similar.
Today, everyone seemed to think we had another parade at the ol' DLR after the second one.
What, are we bringing back the MAIN STREET Electrical Parade, and I was not informed?
....not to mention that today was a pretty nasty day for parade control.

Well if she did, I'd at least hope she'd let a "lowly" CM sign her autograph book.techie-13 wrote:At least she didn't expect you to do it for her!![]()
