R.I.P. Tripod
R.I.P. Tripod
It's with a breaking heart I must announce the passing of my best buddy of 19 years, Tripod. She had untreatable renal failure. My friend Donna from Cats in Need was keeping her for me, and took her down to her vet's for the final visit. I'm wearing Tripod's collar on my left wrist as I write this. I will in the near future be getting her cremains in an urn I picked out for her, and will put the picture of her I carry in my wallet into it--it has a photo frame. She had a great life with me, far better than she would've had mom not told me about her, and if I hadn't gotten her from my uncle's place. I just wish I'd had more time with her. I didn't go with her because I wanted to remember her alive. My own vet wouldn't do the euthanasia--he got too close to her, I guess. I don't blame him.

Re: R.I.P. Tripod
You have my deepest sympathies. I will have to put my Grandmothers cat to sleep this week and I am not looking forward to it.

flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

I can emphathize with you, FelineFan. My DH had to put my horse Gidget down while I was at WDW a couple weeks ago. I didn't even get to say goodbye or be there to comfort her. She was 24 years old and had tumors in her airway and eye. She was my last horse and I'm not sure if I'll get another one, especially now that the heat of early summer is upon us. Maybe next fall.
Hugs to you, FelineFan.

My deepest condolences, FelineFan. My hubby and I lost his kitty of over 20 years in 2003; it was very difficult and is emotionally wrenching. Know my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Rest in peace Tripod. You were a good kitty and a great friend to Felinefan.
